Painted Fields Wines showcases the dedication and expertise of its acclaimed winemaking team, led by consultants Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky, alongside viticulturist Mark Fowler and vintner Lorenzo Muslia. Their shared goal is to craft unique wines that embody the characteristics of the Sierra Foothills AVA, our wine region.

HISTORY: Vineyards in this area date back to the 1800s.  SOIL: The region features a variety of soils, including granitic, volcanic, and sandy loams. ELEVATION: Vineyards are planted at up to 3,500 feet. CLIMATE: The region enjoys a Mediterranean climate with diurnal temperature shifts of up to 30 degrees. DIVERSITY: This is one of the most diverse grape-growing regions in the world.
