90 pts Wine Enthusiast v.22
This wine is fresh, vibrant with aromas of pear, apple, honeysuckle, and white flowers on the nose.
91 pts Wine Enthusiast v.20
Pleasant scents of hay, fresh herbs and dried apples lead to a rather rich, layered palate in this medium-bodied wine. Its mouthfilling texture is nicely balanced by wisps of crisp apple acidity. JIM GORDON
91 pts Wine Enthusiast v.19
Nutty, stony flavors and a firm, dry texture give this medium-bodied and well-balanced wine a savory expression that's very appetizing but restrained. It opens up a bit with each sip, and will surely reward cellaring through at least 2024. JIM GORDON
Over 40 years ago, a visionary grape grower named Bill Dillian planted these beautiful, head-trained Semillon vines in the sandy soils of Amador County, California - Shenandoah Valley AVA. Andis Wines took the chance to produce wine from this vineyard without knowing that one day it would be recognized by critics as a "Hidden Gem of California." the unique micro-climate and the high elevation of the Sierra Foothills develop fruit with great acidity and balance.
