2021 Di Stasio Vineyard Reserve Zinfandel
Tasting notes
Planted in the 1960s, Di Stasio Vineyard is an old vine Zinfandel vineyard that Andis Wines is proud to be working with. What makes this vineyard a true icon of the California Shenandoah Valley AVA are its unique soils ranging from decomposed granite to sandy loam, its dry farming and head-trained method, which leads to low yields.
The nose offers red and blue fruits, flowery incense, candied violets, and brambly herbs. Medium to full-bodied and nicely textured, with remarkable purity of fruit as well as ripe tannins, drink bottles any time over the coming 4-6 years.
